Was that you saying hello?

Was that you saying hello when my world faded to white, 5 yrs ago,
What that you saying hello, the night the wind whispered in my ear, 4 yrs ago,
Was that you saying hello when the same song kept playing over and over, 2 years ago,
Was that you saying Hello, as I placed a biblical quote upon my wall 10 months ago,

Was that you letting me know you where there, yet my eyes were to blind to see,
My mind too deep in a place I was scared to leave,
That day when I posted a year ago on the social media, a quote about anger and Jesus,
Was this another sign for me to finally look upon yourself and your world,
It took me nearly a further 4 months to fully wake up, but I did,
And I am glad, because it was incredible.

Time is a path I have been gently walking, each step over the years,
a small pebble slowing moving around on the clock,
Not noticing beyond the next, what or who was there

But as I start to re-find the solid ground, I can see the signs, the thing’s I may have missed,
Though I have no regret for not seeing before, as clearly it wasn’t my time

Thank you for your patience as I now step deeply into your world,
Thank you for leading me towards the path of righteousness and goodness,
Thank you for your gentle guidance which has helped me to discover your love and light.
And the warmth, love and safety, knowing I am home, where I need to be,

Help me to continue to seek you and grow in my faith each day. May I never take your presence and blessings for granted.

Thank you, God, for waiting for me to find you. Your love, forgiveness, and guidance has transformed my life, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
